Sick

Yup, Eriks and I are sick. I've got a cold that I'm thinking might become bronchitis again. I felt it coming on starting about 4 days after I got my flu shot and finally at the end of last week my nose started running and I started coughing. I don't feel bad, I just have crap in my sinuses and I'm coughing and my throat is scratchy.

Eriks has it much worse than I do. He went for his 4 yr well-baby check (don't get why they still call it that) and the pediatrician found a double ear infection. He never once complained about his ears hurting and the pediatrician asked him if his ears hurt and he said, "no". The only other time that he's ever had an ear infection was when he was 18 months old. He then proceeded to get stuck 5 times for 5 different shots. Poor kid. He's still got knots in his thighs that we were told to massage but he won't let us touch them. He had been coughing for about a week and so we asked about that and his lungs were clear. Everything that was causing him to cough was draining from his ears. So he's still coughing and he's on antibiotics. Hopefully it will go away soon. If it doesn't go away by the time he's done with the antibiotics it'll be a trip back to the hospital to see what's going on.

Last night he complained that his tummy hurt. He has complained about it a few times but he then follows it up with, "I ate too much." So we didn't think much of it. Well he went to bed and either before he fell asleep or in the middle of the night threw up and never came to tell us so she slept in his bed full of sick. So this morning he's had some toast, a banana and Sprite. He is not going to have anything that's not on the BRAT diet until tomorrow morning. So he'll probably have some rice for dinner or noodles. Luckily he hasn't thrown up again and seems to be feeling a little better.

So it's going to be a major down day for us here. I'm doing some laundry but that's about it besides taking care of a sick kiddo. Might get some stuff ready to put up for auction on eBay as I've got stuff I want to get rid of so I can have extra spending money for our Disney trip in April. Every little bit helps!!
