My Little Man is Sick

Eriks is fine but my man Sydney hasn't been doing well for the past few days. He's laying down in one place and not moving for hours. We're actually having a hard time getting him to go outside to go potty and he hasn't been breathing down our necks at mealtime either which is usually the way it goes with the puppies.

It is so sad. When he stands up his entire back end especially his legs shake badly and they shake even worse as he is trying to sit or lay down. That's why he's not moving much because it obviously bothers him. We did go out and buy Bufferin and Glucosamine & Condroitin (I've probably spelled them wrong) for his joints. He usually gets up and moves around the house at night and last night he slept the entire time on the floor in front of my armoire. And when he looks at us he just has these really sad pathetic eyes.

We are taking him to the vet tomorrow and we'll find out what's going on. I know he's almost 11 yrs old but I look at my parents black lab who is almost 16 and he's still kicking. I'd like him to be around for a few more years at least.

I'll let you all know tomorrow what the vet says.

Other than that, not much is new for us. I'm trying to get back into the groove of things still from Christmas break. Not easy especially with a very active 4 yr old in your face all the time. This fall though he will be starting a 5 day a week preschool and I will be happy. I love Eriks but he is busy body to say the least and it gets on my nerves when he refuses to do what I ask of him.
