Leaving...on a jet plane

This afternoon Eriks and I are flying to Indiana for about 10 days. I'm not looking forward to leaving Lane or my house, but I am looking forward to getting out of Arkansas for awhile. We have a wedding to attend this weekend and then another family function next weekend in Indiana so we're staying the week and enjoying the time lounging by my parent's pool. Plus, my dad will be driving back to Indiana from Florida either Monday or Tuesday (he quit his job and will start a new one on the 11th) and it will be nice to spend most of that week with him. So I will see how often I get to post on my blog while I'm out of town.

Some of you are wondering how and where the heck Lane was able to find the very hot Wii that I got for my birthday. It was actually just pure luck. Just an FYI, we HATE shopping at Walmart but he had to run there for some reason and was walking by the case and actually thought it was an empty box. So he asked the person working in electronics and the guy said, "No, that's a Wii in there." So he got the very last one. And let me tell you everything people say about it is true. If you play the right games you can get a really great workout. I woke up this morning fairly sore. My legs were sore, my right arm and upper back kill. Muscles hurt where I didn't think I even had muscle. I'll have to play some of the games left-handed just so those muscles get the same work out on the left side of my body. I did my fitness age test this morning and did much better than yesterday. I'm now as fit as a 54 year old!!! Now of course, Lane did it yesterday and the 39 year old is as fit as a 37 yr old. I say part of that was luck and experience. When he was in high school he was on the tennis team and in Jr. High was part of a bowling league. Lucky bastard!!! (pardon my francais) Honestly there isn't much Lane isn't good at. And of course, my 3 year old, Eriks is a natural. But he's a little confused. He pitches right handed and bats as a lefty. It's funny he actually does about as much with his left as he does with his right. I thought by now they would pick a hand. He's turning out to be like his momma - ambidextrous. I do so much with my left hand, but I don't write really well with my left. I used to.

I've got a mystery on my hands to solve. I was sent flowers yesterday for my birthday, but I don't know from whom. It had a card inside that was left unsigned. I honestly didn't think it was Lane because he would've said something when he walked in the door. They're really pretty, but I can't even begin to think who sent them. I'll have to start asking around.

Time to get back to packing. I'll be back eventually. Like I said hopefully I'll get a chance to post again, but I'm not going to hold my breath.
