Just a quick post before I get ready to drive up to Michigan for the wedding. My flight was delayed coming to Indy from Chicago. After being picked up by my sister at about 11:45 we were driving on the loop that goes around Indy (I-465). I had briefly closed my eyes when I was awoken by the sound of squealing tires and then see a Dodge Ram truck sliding across the highway, slide into the ditch and then flip before it landed upright. We immediately pulled over and called the police because we were not sure how severely the driver was injured and wanted to make sure they received help. Well, the driver finally got out of his truck, staggered up to our vehicle asking for a ride up to the exit. The man was clearly intoxicated and we told him we were not taking him anywhere because we called the police and reported the accident (Krista - A Million Miles to Mia would be so proud as she is a police officer). As soon as we told him, he continued on walking much faster than before. I'm sure he wanted to flee before the police showed up. It took them longer than we wanted to respond. But the police officer agreed with us and said that if the man had not been intoxicated or on something else, he would not have fled the scene. We gave him the best description possible and then went on our way.
Had we been driving any faster or any closer to him we surely would've been hit and in the hospital right now if not dead. I am still quite shaken from the experience and it took me forever to fall asleep last night as I kept seeing the event take place in my head over and over again. Tonight I will use some Tylenol Simply Sleep to knock me out and get some much needed rest.

How terrifying for you. So glad you are all fine. I do hope you can rest soon with out all the flashbacks
Whew! I'm glad you are ok.
Whoa! I'm glad you're safe.
Geesh...drunken fools...they seem to always walk away...this one tried literally!
That is so scary! I am glad you are ok. What a total loser - I hope the police catch him.
