New Purse, Wine Labels & Questions to Ponder

So this weekend I got a new purse. I didn't even buy it. I won it playing bunko yesterday. It's a Longaberger purse and I love it!!! Looking online it looks like it retailed for about $55 when they carried it last year. I think it's going to be my summer purse. I ordered the Recipe box which is something I really needed and of course once I spent $50 I could get another Longaberger basket - the extra small foyer basket for only $15. A savings of $17!!

I also had to show off our wine labels. Lane and I are bottling wine this upcoming weekend in Grapevine, TX. The winery makes the wine for you and then you go bottle it. Lane and I celebrated our church wedding anniversary this year (in my book the more important one) and we really wanted to do something special for it. So that's how we came about bottling wine. We were legally hitched in Vegas in 1996 and so that's how we came about picking this particular wine label. The multi-colored glass is inside the lobby of the Bellagio hotel. The hotel didn't exist when we got married but it was in the works to be built. We have been to the Bellagio several times and LOVE this hotel. I think it's one of my favorites in Vegas.

So here are the questions. I'm not sure why they became so thought provoking to me, but hey, I know I'm not normal and have my quirky side.

Question #1

Why is it then when you're driving on the highway or along the road you only see one shoe on the side of the highway/road? How is it possible only one shoe gets lost along the way??? Did anyone ever think it would miss the other half of the pair? You never see a pair of shoes on the side of the road/highway. It's just one lonely shoe!

Question #2

I've noticed this several times but what made me have this "Deep Thought" this weekend...I'm not sure. Why do cows walk single file??? I've never really seen them roaming as a herd together. If they're moving there's always one in the front and the rest follow behind in single file. Oh, and who decides who is line leader??? Does one cow just kind of say, "This grass doesn't taste so good so I'm moving." And then the rest see that cow on the move and think, "Oh shit, she/he is moving, better go!"

Question #3

I know this question has been probably pondered before. I know both Goofy and Pluto are dogs, but which Disney animator/creator decided to give Goofy the dumber of the 2 dogs the ability to talk and Pluto, the smarter dog doesn't utter a word? I know Pluto isn't that much smarter, but definitely smarter than Goofy. Personally, I'd prefer Pluto to be the talking dog.

OK. That's it for now. I'm sure I'll eventually have more questions like that to ponder. But it's getting late, I've had a long day and spent most of the day with my mouth completely numb. I had 3 cavities filled this morning and still have 5 more to go. Yeah, I'm not going to get into it.

Hopefully I'll get some sleep tonight while waiting for possible news tomorrow. I think I'll go say a rosary tonight.
