The wedding I went to on the 2nd was fabulous. Many of my dear friends were there. It was definitely an all-out extravaganza. Fabulous food (fillet mignon and shrimp) to a huge fireworks show!! First wedding I've ever been to that's had fireworks. Definitely a VERY posh affair. I was sad to see the weekend end due to the fact that I rarely get to see my friends and wanted to spend time with them.
I'm anxiously awaiting the posting of our agencies new Waiting Children list. They got it more quickly than they had expected. Our agency wasn't expecting to receive it until at least the end of the month or early July. The CCAA pleasantly surprised them. I think there are only 20 children though. I so wish the CCAA would send our agency 30 or so since there are so many families willing to adopt. I really hope that we find our daughter. I've been praying hard and have also probably getting my hopes up to high as well.
Other than that, all has been quiet on the home front. I have to catch up on sending quilt squares and posting the ones that I have received. All in due time.

This is a photo of the traditional Latvian wedding ceremony that they did. It was about 5 hrs before the 2nd ceremony. It was pretty short and fairly interesting as I had never seen it done before.

This is after the 2nd ceremony. I thought she had an absolutely stunning gown. Makes me want to get married all over again. Things have changed so much in 10 yrs!

And this is a picture of 2 of my good friends. The guy to my left with the glasses is one of my best friends ever! His birthday is the day before mine and we have this amazing bond. I've also known him since we were kids! The guy to my right is actually an ex-boyfriend. We broke up 6 months before I met Lane. He's a really great guy and although we went our separate ways for a few years, we've gotten to be pretty good friends again. It's hard not to be when we share so many friends.

Neat pictures of the wedding! I LOVE her dress. The modern one, not the other one, although the other one looks pretty cool too....:-)
Looks like a wonderful time. Beautiful couple!
I love the wedding pictures. I love learning something new about the traditions of others.
