Referrals!

It's rare that I post twice in one day but...

Well, families who had LID's between 10/26/05 and 11/1/05 are receiving referrals for children today and probably tomorrow! Many of us wish they would've had more days covered - like a few weeks of LID's to be exact, but last time referrals came it only covered 2 days so 6 days is a step back in the right direction. Wait time for these families was 18-19 months. But from the families that I have seen post information about their referrals, the babies they were matched with are young - 6 to 8 months old. That's what I've seen so far. Most children in past referrals on average were between 13-15 months old. Granted these families will not travel for 4-8 weeks depending on travel approval (or as we in the adoption world call them TA's) but still most of these families will meet their daughters before they are a year old. How cool is that???
