Yesterday

I will start this by saying I do moderate my comments so if you are going to say anything nasty, don't bother, it won't get published. Better yet, take it to your own blog, website, wherever and post it there.

As many of my friends and some fellow bloggers have stated, they are disappointed in the outcome of the presidential race. I am too, but I keep reminding myself that I just need to keep praying that he does something right for our country instead of what is right for himself. I do not agree with him on most topics but I will respect him.

This country needs to stop running on hate and the idea of, "I don't care what's right, I just care what's right for ME!" That is probably one of the biggest reasons we are so strongly disliked by the rest of the world. We are an extremely selfish nation. I think of all the interviews I saw on TV before the election and the number of people that said by electing Ob.ama they will no longer have to worry about putting gas in their cars, paying their mortgages because the government will take care of that. That is pure selfishness and it takes away from those who have worked extremely hard for what they have. There's so much more to life than gimme, gimme, gimme. No one can change you or your life. You have to change it yourself and I know it's not always easy. I come from a family that started as a bunch of non-English speaking immigrants from Eastern Europe that had nothing to their name but the clothes on their backs. All of my grandparents worked labor jobs for menial pay but they didn't go out and blow it on TV's, cars, houses, etc. They saved it. My mom's parents and siblings shared a house with my grandfather's sister and until they saved up enough for a down payment. We need to get back to that mentality and stop putting Christma$ stuff in stores in Oct.ober!!!

As a military wife, I wish that no matter what your views are on the state of the world, you still stand behind our military because they are standing up for you and for your right to life free, judge, protest and spread hate.

"Ask not what your country can do for you, but what YOU can do for your country." - JFK

Ok, sweetie. Obama isn't so bad. Smile, whistle a little tune and just go your merry way there is nothing you can do.
