Happy Thanksgiving

We started this Thanksgiving week on Tuesday by watching the above. How can you not watch the Ch@rlie Brown movies when they're on TV. It just puts me in the mood for whatever holiday the movie features. I grew up watching them and it was a big deal for me as a kid. Hope some of you watched it too.

Then of course this morning, actually as I'm sitting here blogging this is on TV:

The M@cy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. In 1995 I was in NYC during Thanksgiving and after a night of drinking the night before, I and the people I was with were too lazy and slightly hung over to drag ourselves out of bed in search of the infamous parade. So we sat in bed and watched it on the hotel TV. Sad, I know. I have regreted it ever since. What I would like to plan is to go to NYC again in 2010 for Thanksgiving and to watch the lighting of the tree several days later...to see the R@dio City Christmas show as well as the window displays in the major department stores.

I wish all of you a wonderful Thanksgiving. I know all of us should have something to be thankful for. I'm on pins and needles waiting for fellow bloggy buddies to give me the news that they have received referrals. I would like to say that this is the last Thanksgiving we will have without our daughter but that all rests in the hands of the C*O*A and whether or not they're going to give our agency H@gue accreditation. If they do, then the CC@@ will start sending us SN lists again and we will very likely be matched with a daughter in 2009. I am keeping them in our thoughts and prayers.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!

P.S. Anyone out there braving the crowds and insanity tomorrow? I might. Haven't decided yet.

Happy Thanksgiving! We watched Charlie Brown, too. It was a big deal in our house when I was growing up. So I'm hoping my kids love it too. Hubby had to work Wed night, but the kids and I made popcorn and had "movie night" downstairs in our PJs. They thought it was extra fun...not sure what was the bigger hit though: Snoopy or a giant bowl of popcorn!

Now that's a great story about your visit to NYC and getting so hung-over. Don't worry, you had the best seat in the house. We go to Long Island every year but have yet to make it into the city for the parade. I love the classic Charlie Brown episodes. I hope your agency receives their accreditation. I know you will be so happy to get off of this adoption roller coaster soon. I have my fingerscrossed that Emilija is home evry soon.

hugs,
