Yup, you heard me correctly. I'm about to lose my mind. Lane leaves on Monday for 4 days for his SIM refresher course in Bilo.xi leaving me with not only all the parenting responsibilities, but also going through all the crap in this house because there are things we will NOT let the movers pack or move so I need to sort through all that garbage and hide it in a closet they will not pack up. Fun.
Going through stuff today is pretty much all I've done. Wait, I showered and made dinner too. My house is a plethora of boxes as we are beginning to haul everything out of the storage room. It will continue to look this way for the next week. One of these days, I'll take a picture and show you exactly how the house looks. I'm already sick of it because as those who know me well know that I'm a neat freak and expect it to be immaculate 95% of the time.
I braved the crowds yesterday but I was not one of the crazies out there at at 4 or 5 am. My apologies to those of you who are. I left here a bit after 9 am. There wasn't much that I really wanted and definitely no doorbusters I couldn't live without. I went to Mich@el's Arts & Crafts to use my 25% off coupon to buy a few things to help me with a few Christmas gifts. I also made it to Shoe C@rnival to use my $10 off coupon to buy myself a sportin' new pair of shoes. I grew up wearing E@stlands. They are some of the most comfortable things I've ever put on my feet. They're expensive though. About $70 a pair. They were on sale for $59 then with my $10 off coupon I paid about $50 after tax. The only place I went yesterday that was truly a madhouse was T@rget. There really wasn't anything there I desperately needed but I had to return a sweater and a vest I bought earlier this week. I wore the sweater for a few hours earlier this week and when I looked down there was a hole the size of a quarter up near the shoulder. Needless to say I was pretty darn ticked and thought to myself, no sweater should develop a hole that big after about 6 hrs of wear. So I returned it along with the vest that I just decided I really didn't need. Picked up a few DVD's and a new Magna.doodle for the little man to use during church. Most of the time he's well behaved but occasionally we need something to keep him occupied. After that, I came home. I'm almost done shopping but I'm going to wait and see if anything I want/still need to purchase is in any of the ads in tomorrow's paper.
Hope everyone had a really great Thanksgiving. Ours was quiet and pretty darn good. Time to get back to sorting and purging!!!

Wow! Seems like you are one busy lady. I haven't even thought of Christmas shopping yet. So you are way up on me there.
Hope your packing goes well ;)
Holy canoli am I behind in my reading.!! Actually, I lost your blog (well, bloglines lost it) but I found it again through another bloggers post. I'm so glad you got moved ok, found a nice home, and have met some of the local bloggers! :0) I've got you back on the list so hopefully I can keep up. (I'm only getting online once/week now but I'm keeping up pretty well)
Here's hoping you do ok while Lane is out of town!
Moving stinks. Especially right before Christmas. I'm jealous that you have most of your Christmas shopping done. I am usually much more prepared then I am this year. Last year I was done at this time. Money is tight this year, which has been a huge factor.
I hope you had a good Thanksgiving!
Packing just stinks - period!
You are much braver that I am. I didn't go to one store on Friday! I think I did a little online shopping that day.
Just a few more weeks until GA!!!!
I hear ya about the crazy shoppers on the day after Thanksgiving. I just can't do it. I feel like my skin is crawling when I have that many people around me. Glad you guys had a wonderful holiday and I am sending you good wishes for your upcoming move. I know that moving is so stressful, but things will be great once you get there. Take care my friend. :)
Hugs,
Jonni
