Final Questions Answered

So I'm finally getting around to finishing all the great questions I was asked. Only took me I don't know...3 or 4 months. Here goes.

Blogger gal Krista posted this question:

What's your idea of a perfect day? Not like, "win the lottery fantasy" type of day. But just a normal day in the life you have. What would you be doing if you could plan your perfect day.

This is by no means an easy question to answer. I guess I'm so busy with being a wife, a mother, etc...that I don't think much of what I want or what I would do for myself. I don't know if I could condense it in a day. This is what I would love to do and would be more than just a perfect day but rather a perfect weekend. As much as I love my family I would love a weekend by myself at a spa. No cell phones, no internet, maybe the opportunity to watch a little bit of TV without any interruptions. It would be a time for me to relax and regroup. When you've been married a long time and have been filling other roles it's easy to lose sight of who you are as in individual. I'm sad to report that I don't think I really know who Liene the person is because for so long now I've been Lane's wife or Eriks's mother. I rarely do anything for myself. It would be great to go and be pampered and have the opportunity to sit in front of a roaring fire at night with a glass of wine and a good book without worrying about what anyone else is doing.

This comes from a friend of mine - Jess.

Where do you see yourself in 20 yrs?

Living comfortably in Indi.ana with my family and friends. Hopefully with a few more kiddos who by that time will be teenager (oh dear). I'd love to own a summer place not far from my parents summer place in Michigan. Beyond that I'm not really sure. It's too hard to predict that far into the future.

Nothing exciting happened this weekend. Eriks is starting to feel better. The Col.ts won last night. YEAH!!! Took 2 of the 3 animals to the vet today. Gabby is a hoss. We put her on weight managment food and since her last vet visit she gained 3 lbs. She now weights 90 lbs. So we asked the vet what to do. Her suggestion (she said she does it with her dogs because dog food is so high in calories) is to feed Gabby a can of low-sodium green beans and then follow it up with a much smaller amount of dog food about 30 minutes later. Green beans are high in fiber which will help fill her up. George the kitty is fine. Has a great kitty weight - 11 lbs. Had been in hiding since we brought him home and finally popped out not too long ago. Had my oil changed and my brakes replaced - the front ones. They were REALLY bad I'm embarrassed to say. Pretty much almost metal on metal.

Glad you got your brakes changed before you discovered you needed them :)

Glass of wine, a good book and a log fire - ah, we can dream!

Glad to hear Eriks is feeling better and that sounds like a mighty fun weekend you would plan. I know it is easy to lose sight of who we are when we have so many titles. I am happy you got your brakes replaced. I also had to do that not too long ago. Good to know you will be nice and safe now.

Hugs,
Jonni
