HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. I don't know exactly why. Might have something to do with it being in the fall. Maybe because I had so much fun as a kid and my mom had some great costumes for us. The weather today is really nice - in the 70's and tonight the weather should be good too. Lane is taking Eriks out trick or treating while I hand out goodies to all the kids. My only complaint is that tomorrow in November 1st and the leaves on the trees are barely starting to change colors. Oh well.

Eriks had a Halloween party at school yesterday since he doesn't have school on Wednesdays. After my eye appointment I headed over to the school. Lane was able to duck out of work for about 30 minutes too to go over. They had a hayride and a bunch of games for all the kids. The costume that Eriks wore to school yesterday is not the one that he is wearing tonight. He is going as Peter Pan tonight. Yesterday Eriks was dressed like is daddy dresses for work every day. Don't they look cute???

This is a picture of Eriks with his friend M. They actually met this spring in swim lessons. It was a coincidence that they both ended up at the same preschool.

This is a picture of Eriks with his entire class. The class only has 9 kids which is actually very nice. The classes for the 2 and 3 year olds are small too. I really like this preschool/Mother's Day Out program that he's in. I need to work on getting him into the pre-K program in the school attached to our church. I've heard it's really good and since we will still be here until December next year I need to get him in school for the fall.

And lastly, a photo of our pumpkins that we carved last night. Eriks wanted Buzz Lightyear and of course after we started carving it he said, "I want a jack 'o lantern with a smiley face." So we finished the Buzz and then carved the other pumpkin. They're both really cute.

I hope that I can post photos this weekend of Eriks in his Peter Pan costume - tights and all (it had to be authentic!). I'm so swamped right now with school and other commitments. It's getting to be that glorious time of the year!

I hope all of you have a "spooktacular" Halloween!!!
