Here is a picture of the many different and colorful gourds they had there. We didn't buy any, but I wanted to. Just didn't have a good place to put them. I especially loved the squat orange and red ones. Almost like smushed pumpkins.

Eriks of course insisted on doing the photo of his head peeking out of the pumpkin. He became fascinated with these after the state fair in Texas. There were several different ones on the farm but we kept him to just this one.

The sun was starting to set when we managed to take this photo of Eriks so he his squinting pretty badly. Granted the child doesn't know how to smile naturally when you want to take his picture. He grits his teeth and makes this kind of "ugly" face. Sorry kiddo but I hate the face when you try to smile.

This is probably my favorite picture of the date. I had to take a couple to get just the right one but I was having a hard time keeping up with the boy pulling the wagon. He kind of thought of it as a race to get to the end. I managed to catch this one of him looking out across the pumpkins. Too cute!!!

The other cool thing about this pumpkin patch was that they had a petting zoo. There was a cow, some goats, some turkeys, some rabbits, some pigs, some miniature horses, some ducks & chickens and I think that's it. Eriks had fun looking at the baby ducks & baby chicks. He wanted to hold one so badly.
There was a hayride but we did not go on it. Just didn't have time as we really wanted to get to dinner before the child was in the midst of starvation. He gets really cranky when he's hungry. Didn't want that.
Now the weather has gotten extremely chilly and we had 2 days of straight rain (both Mon & Tues). I think the high here is 50 tomorrow. My family in Indy is supposed to have temps near 60 so we will be colder than them. I don't mind the cooler weather but I'm not ready for this cool. Thank goodness it will warm up.
P.S. I finally got around to updating the quilt blog. Slowly but surely I am adding the squares I have collected since July. I know, I'm horrible for putting it off this long. It wasn't on purpose, I just had other things to do. So go take a look!

I love the "fake smile". My kids all went through that stage. :-)
I like that shot of him pulling his wagon, too :-)
