Adoption t-shirt

Well this shirt has caused a bit of controversy on one of my China message boards. It didn't bother me at all. But then again, I've never been a terribly PC person. Just like I don't consider my son African-American. I think of him as Black-American. To say he was African-American is to say that he could directly trace his roots to a specific place in Africa. It can't be done. He's also Caucasian (but I call it white). Overall though, he's just Eriks Nikolaijs Tuttle to us. He's our son.

I guess it also really bothers me that as a society here in the US we are so sensitive about EVERYTHING!!! If you don't like it turn the other cheek and move on with your life. God forbid we use our BACKBONES!!!! If my parents and grandparents let everything bother them as immigrants, then they sure as heck would never have made anything of their lives. You can't imagine what it's like to come to a foreign country to escape a life of communism with very little and work hard to make a life for yourself. And my family NEVER relied on the government for a damn thing. They did it by themselves and they learned ENGLISH!!!! OK, sorry for my little rant, but this is my blog!!!!

From my viewpoint this shirt by Urban Outfitters basically says that adoption is cool. Something I have always thought anyhow. So what do you think of the shirt??? I'd love to hear some comments.
