Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes

It is AMAZING how much Emi has changed and opened up since she was placed in Lane's arms 10 days ago. In bullets this is what we've seen:

• She smiles - A LOT! She is so happy.
• She laughs. The best thing about her laugh is that it is infectious. You can't help but smile and laugh when she does it.
• She talks all the time. She started out as this quiet and very unsure little girl. She was constantly looking at Lane, almost as though she was looking for permission. Now she goes on babbling like it's going out of style.
• She's REALLY walking. When Lane received her she was walking a bit but very unsure and unsteady. She was content just sitting there (and at times she still is, especially when she's intently playing with something). Now, she's jut going like crazy. She doesn't like to sit on Lane's lap for long when we're on Sky.pe so often he has to turn the computer facing the room door since they do "laps" back and forth between the computer and the door.
• She loves to mimic. If you shake your head, she copies. If you clap, she claps. Lane and mom taught her to stick out her bottom lip and it is SOOOOOO cute when they stick out their bottom lip and she does the same.
  
• She's stubborn. Lane has been carrying her the whole time or she's been walking with him. In a few of the shops he's wanted to look at things and she's dragged him or tried to drag him where she wants to go. She's already wrapping Daddy around her little finger.
• She's learned to play peek-a-boo. At first, Lane and Mom would put the hand towel of her head and pull it off. Now she often puts it on herself and pulls it off. She is good at initiating it.
• She loves to launch her toys off the bed and thinks it's so much fun to make Daddy retrieve them for her. It's funny watching her play this game with Lane.

I can't believe that the day after tomorrow they will be on their way home. I am so excited and ready to see them and begin our lives as a family of 4. Today (since it's Wed in China already) they have their ACS swearing in appointment. Then on Thurs they board their flight to Tokyo and then home.

Good news is that Lane was able to find a camera battery charger and charged the battery so today when they go back to Shamian Island they will finish taking pictures. They did their group photo, although not at the White Swan. Not sure why since they are allowed to use the red couch but whatever. Lane had to use the disposable camera so none to post. However, if you want to check it out I know I saw it on one of our travel groups blogs on my blogroll. Just look under June travel group blogs to look for it. We are definitely a BIG travel group.
