Sunday Bullets & Photos

  • 12 years down. Today is one of our 2 wedding anniversaries. If you want the story, just ask and I'll tell it to you someday. BTW, no divorce and then remarriage.
  • Summer ends for Eriks tomorrow. Yup, his 1st full day of pre-K is tomorrow. I'm happy and I'm sad. It's going to be so weird being by myself from 8 - 2:45 M-F. I am somewhat excited though because it will give me time to work on school and get this BA degree done with.
  • The Olympics - I'm so addicted. And how about that Michael Phelps guy? 8 gold medals in one Olympics. Way to rock!
  • House is nearly done. A few more things to go in storage and then it will go on the market. When that happens I'll let you all know and you can take a look at it and see what my house looks like.
  • A good friend of ours who was also our squadron commander retired from the US*AF on Friday. T and his wife, C have been our rocks since we've been here especially going through all my irregular heart rate issues. If I had to go to the hospital to get checked out we'd call them and they would say, "Bring Eriks on over." Their daughters C & K have babysat for us and when I talked to C at her dad's retirement ceremony and told her we were moving to GA she was very, very sad. She told me we couldn't move. How awesome is that!! Eriks doesn't want to leave her either and says that he wants her to move with us.
  • Eriks was very sad to leave my parents swimming pool. He swam at least twice a day every day. He's actually learning how to swim and I'm so excited for him. Time to get him into some real swim lessons at the community center. He loves to belly flop as you'll see in the photo below.

With his uncle, my brother Paul at the Indy Zoo while he was visiting the folks. He had a really good time.

  • Here's my newest toy. I've been wanting one of these for years. Blogger Jonni got one not too long ago as well and loved it. I have been comparing DSLR's and this one seemed like it was the best for me. I'd like to get into semi-professional or professional photography and this will help me learn. I can't wait! Plus I know it will help me get the shots I want and love!! There's a mom whom I socialize with that has one too and loves it. We got some unexpected money in the mail this week and the difference we paid for out of pocket which was only a couple of hundred. What we paid for it out of pocket was my anniversary gift. Lane got an App*le gizmo for our computer that will allow us to use i*Tunes to listen to music anywhere in our house.

That's it. I hope everyone else is having a good weekend. The weather has actually been pleasant here and I'm not complaining at all. More rain on the way Tuesday. Bring it on! I'll post photos of Eriks 1st day of school this week.

GREAT camera :) I have the Rebel XT and am dreaming of their newest camera that is like 1.7K (so we'll be dreaming for A LOT longer). And it's wonderful making a little money on the side with the photography thing!

YOU HAVE to tell the wedding story- way to leave us hanging!! Here's to 12 years though!
