Yesterday Lane and I celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary. Yup, 11 yrs ago yesterday we exchanged vows in a church. As a lot of my blog readers know, we were married 2x's without a divorce. First time was an elopement in August 1996 after we had started planning and paying for our May 1997 wedding. Stuff happened (not a pregnancy thankfully) and it was better that we get married then and have our wedding with our friends and family as planned. Anywho... It was kind of cool that our anniversary fell on a Saturday so yesterday every time I looked at the clock I thought about what I was doing at that time on my wedding day. Kind of neat. Lane actually made the following comment yesterday, "So, 11 years ago did you think that you'd be driving your son to a soccer game on your anniversary?" I said, "No."
We hired a babysitter and had a fabulous dinner here. The food was fabulous as always. Granted it was the first time Lane had ever been there. I had eaten there several times before with friends. Lane really enjoyed it and expects us to eat there at least once a month until we move. I'm game. I'm always up for good It@lian food. We exchanged no anniversary gifts as we decided that we would get the Wii.Fit when it was released. I can't wait.

And today is Mother's Day and I am not only thankful that I have been blessed with my son and am waiting for my daughter, but for the fact that my own mother would do ANYTHING for her kids. Talking to her today she said that she was coming at the end of the month when I'm having all the testing done on my heart to figure out what's causing the irregular heart rate problems. I told her she didn't have to do that but her reply, "You are my daughter and I have to take care of my grandson!" Now everyone should have a mother like this.
I know my mom doesn't read my blog that often. My dad reads it constantly so I hope when he sees this he calls her to the computer to read it.
I am so lucky to have the lady that is my mom in my life. She has never thought twice about stopping everything for her kids. She has always put us first. She took care of us when we were sick and every time I've been in the hospital for surgeries or procedures she's always come to be with me. She's put most of the clothing on my son's back, she's done things just because and she's always been there for advice when I need it. I couldn't ask for anyone better to be my mom.

You are all very special in your own way and most of you have touched my life in one form or another. Thanks!!!
