I'm Home and Very Tired

No photos for this post. My arms are black and blue from all the sticking for blood due to the fact that I was on heparin for 3 days. My arms make me look like a heroin addict. It's disgusting.
I ended up staying a day longer for observation.

Here's what happened. I was out about 9 am and they started the heart catheter to see what my heart looked like before they started to figure out the irregular heart rate stuff. That took about 90 minutes and then for the next 6 hrs or so I was having parts of my heart ablated with both hot and cold. They couldn't get to all the circuits causing the irregular heart rate because there were just too many of them but they were pleased with what they were able to get to. Currently I'm having tachycardia issues because as my heart is healing from all the lesions made to remove some of the circuits it's not unusual for the heart to behave this way. Hopefully it will get better. They're going to discuss what if anything further they are going to do with me since the constant cardioversion into sinus rhythm is not good for my heart. I go back to the Dr. in 2 weeks.

I'm exhausted and getting ready to go to bed. It's so fun how the nurses or techs come in every 4 hrs to take vitals, flush IV's, draw blood and they expect you to get some rest. I came home a little after noon today and I crashed hard for almost 3 hrs and it felt good. Having a shower for the first time since Monday felt great too. I feel almost human again. I'll feel more human once I get a few good nights of sleep.

Tomorrow Lane is going back to work. Thank goodness my mom is still here. I'm going to miss her next week when she has to head home. At least she'll be around while I get better.

We're going to dinner tomorrow night since tomorrow I celebrate yet another birthday without a daughter. It's OK. I have a feeling that this is the last one without her. I tried to call our agency today to make sure they had all the paperwork they needed for the new SN program. Plus I want to see if they'll tell me where we are in line. Hopefully near the top since we didn't have to get any further documentation from our agency since in our home study it said we were already open to SN. That's something the families switching to SN have to have. Hopefully they'll call tomorrow. It would be even better if they called tomorrow with a referral but that's so wishful thinking it's not even funny. It's anyone's guess when the CCAA is going to post more SN children to the MA waiting list.

Hope everyone has a good weekend. I'll post photos of my B-day probably Sunday with all the goodies I got.
