Three Word Sunday and Miscellaneous Musings

  • The photo says it all. After 5 trips to the hospital for irregular heart rate issues, I've had enough. I have to go again at the end of the month. Luckily I won't be in the hospital over my birthday, but I hope that they can kind of get a grasp on what is causing all these problems!
  • We still are hearing from Eriks how much he wants to go back to FL and Di$ney. I don't think we'll hear the end of it for awhile. Trust me, being the Di$ney freak that I am, it hurts me as much as it hurts him.
  • Whoever said life begins at 40 was wrong. In Lane's case it all goes down hill after that. I was out shopping Friday night. As much as I love my family, I was getting really sick of seeing their faces. As we are finally getting around to sprucing up around here I went in search of cheap but sharp looking stuff. On my way home I called my friend J from Boston, the one who lost his sister suddenly a few days after Christmas. I hadn't talked to him since he called to tell me the news...bad friend, I know. Anyhow, got home, I was still on the phone with J. Lane was getting ready to hand wash some stuff that we don't put in the dishwasher. He starts banging around, comes into the master bath, turns on the faucet. Turns it off and walks away. I hear him banging around in the garage. At this point I can't figure out what the hell is going on. So I head back into the kitchen and finally ask Lane what's gotten him so ticked and frustrated. He says, "I can't figure out why the water in the kitchen sink isn't getting warm. So he turns the faucet in the kitchen on again. I notice it's in the position for COLD water. He says, "I turn it on and it stays cold and isn't heating." I start laughing at him and say, "Honey, it's not getting warm because you have it in the position for COLD not HOT water" as I'm moving the faucet into the correct position. Looking sheepishly and dumbfounded that he had a "SENIOR" moment, he says, "Ummm...yeah, I guess it would help if I turned it on right. However the good news is I got practice lighting the gas water heater."
  • The family dog is still alive. My sister said that he actually seems to be doing better but she says it's still probably inevitable that he will need to be put down. The family is just kind of avoiding talking about it. Nor have they made the appointment to do it.
  • I'm still on cloud 9 about being out of review. I'm just hoping the CCA.A sends our agency more SN kiddos.
I know I still have to give a recap of our short trip to FL. The house and yard scream for priority unfortunately. They have been ignored for too long and it's driving me crazy. I'm OCD when it comes to neatness. Just ask Lane so since Monday when I made my latest trip to the hospital I have not been feeling all the great and so I've ignored the house. No excuses anymore.
