Holy Snow, Bat.man!!!

After my really f*ing sh*tty day on Tuesday things are getting better. Actually I got some good news yesterday that I have been waiting forever for. I finally got my midterm exam grades. I got an A+ on one and a B- on the other. The funny thing is that I got the A+ in the class where most of my assignment grades have been B's and the B- came in the class where all my assignment grades have been A's. I was told that I did get an A on my essay for that exam but that I got only 52/70 right on the comprehensive part of the exam (T/F, matching, multiple choice). I need to email her and see if she can tell me which ones I missed and what the correct answers are.

And on to the snow...

If you go to the Weather Channel online or click here for our specific weather forecast for snow you will notice that we're predicted to get 4-6 inches. This means that the entire city will close down because the South doesn't have the same type of snow removal equipment that Northerns have. I'm shocked that here it is early March and usually we've started creeping into the 70's already we are going to get snow. This Northern girl sure ain't complaining. Yes, I'm one of those weirdos that LOVES snow! I'd give anything to spend a winter in upstate NY just to experience getting 3 ft dumped on me! I'm looking forward to it. The only thing is that I'm a little nervous for my sister. She is driving from Indiana tomorrow night after she gets off work and will have to drive through this mess pretty much the whole trip. I'm not too worried about her in IN & IL but down here where the roads won't be so good. I will definitely be calling her cell phone every 30 min to an hour and she's going to get annoyed with me but that's what sister's do. Eriks will be extremely excited as he wanted to go play in the small dusting we got on Tuesday and we told him there wasn't enough snow. There will be tomorrow if the forecast is right. And what's funny...we cleaned out our garage last summer and threw away our snow shovel because we didn't think we'd need it here and said that we'll buy another one when we move. Looks like Lane might be stopping at Lowe's to see if they have snow shovels but at this time of year probably not so I'm not sure how we're going to clear the driveway and walkway up to the door.

So if you are wondering, yes, I'm going out to buy milk today. I was going to have to go to the grocery today anyhow as our cupboards and fridge are pretty bare. I don't need toilet paper, eggs or bread though. I do need meat and tortilla chips.

And I have a feeling that yet again Eriks will not be playing/practicing soccer on Sat. He was to have had practice on Monday night but it poured buckets here all day and so they canceled it. One of these days he'll get to play.

******************UPDATE************************

Ummm, yeah....earlier I said that we were expected to get 4-6 inches. Well, that's changed. Now it's 6-12 inches. Bring it on!!! I can't wait to take photos of Eriks playing in it tomorrow and then show all of you! Definitely glad I went to the store today. It was busy as all get out, but I have food and I bought beer too so we're set.

So that's what happened to all our snow. We've been wondering. The weather channel keeps telling us we have lots of snow coming, they cancel schools, etc. Then nothing. It's been happening all year. All the counties around us are getting feet of snow but not us. Somebody has sent Indy's snow to Arkansas.

I HAVE DECIDED.

I myself would be happy if you sent a little of the 70-ish weather up here.
Take care. And woo-hoo for the good midterm grades!
