Sleep Issues

OK, I've been having a pickle of a time getting the desired amount of sleep I want. I lay down at night and spend the next 60-90 minutes trying to fall asleep. This is how I'd like to spend the hours between about 10:30 pm and 7:30 am:

Not a very flattering shot of me, I know but I am trying to go to bed when Lane snapped this photo of George trying to sleep on my face. Cute kitty isn't he??? Anyhow, I am going nuts. I don't know why I'm having such a hard time falling asleep these days. I have taken Tylenol Simply Sleep once and it didn't work as well as I wanted it to and it normally does. Hmmmm... Hopefully my problems will be solved soon since I can't go with a lack of sleep much longer.

Now onto my new find. I love the taste of this:

But I don't do caffeine because of the affects it has on my heart. So I have to drink caffeine free Diet Coke. Today I was at the grocery store and I found this:

Now I can have Diet Coke with Lime without the caffeine. It's yummy!!!! I knew it would happen some day even if I can't buy it together in the can.

Eriks is a huge grouch this afternoon because he didn't nap at preschool. That's the only bad thing on Tuesdays and Thursdays. He is such a sourpuss on those days because he doesn't nap. Right now he's pouting and whining. I feel his pain but I don't behave that way when I'm tired.

And speaking of Eriks, I am taking down the blog I started for him. I just don't have the time to keep up with this blog and his blog. It's just easier to focus on one not including the 100 Good Wishes blog.

And would someone tell Mother Nature to turn down the heat! It's almost the end of September and 90 degrees is not in my vocabulary this late in the year. I'd love to go back to Saturday when the high was 72. As much as I like wearing sandals and flip-flops, I'm so ready for my sweaters and jeans again. I'm ready for the crisp smell of fallen leaves and smoky fires. I'm ready to drink hot apple cider. And I'm sure many of you think I'm crazy.

OK, time to go deal with Oscar the Grouch!!!

I feel your pain - about both kids who need naps and needing some fall weather! Like you, I love to put on jeans and a sweatshirt - a big blue one, no less! - and feel a nice autumn chill.
Good luck with sleeping! I've taken to reading til I fall asleep...
Have a good week!

George looks so much like Pierre. I just sat here and stared at that picture thinking "and all this time I thought he was in the back yard."

You're not alone with the insomnia. I haven't slept straight through the night in a couple of years now. The longest I can sleep is 2 hours and then I wake up. I'm up and down all freakin' night!!! I'm usually up until 2am or 3am and then head off to bed until 8am. If you're up, send me an email!
