Home Sweet Home

So I know the photo is a little old, but it was the only one of my house I could find. The current summer heat and drought is a far cry from the photo. Last night I finally got to sleep in my own bed and it felt great!!! Granted I was a little worried as I'm still adjusting to the new anti-arrhythmia drugs. Hopefully this will keep me out of the hospital for a long time.

Now some interesting news about the anti-arrhythmia drug I'm on. It's called Amiodarone for those of you who are nurses & doctors. No more tanning for me. Why you ask??? Well the docs & nurses told me that one of the side-effects is that I could get a tan that makes me look like a Smurf. It's called "smurf syndrome". Yes you heard that right, a Smurf. I guess sun exposure turns my skin a bluish purple color similar to a Smurf. See below.

Smurfette with baby Smurfs.

So while I'm catching up on last weeks TV shows that I missed because they weren't available on cable TV at the hospital, I'm getting back to making jewelry. Not for myself but to sell. There are things that I would really like to do and well that takes money that we currently don't have because we're saving like crazy. So I figure since I'm a SAHM, I'd find something that I like doing and can do from the comfort of my home. If you're interested in seeing what I have available drop me an email.

We had a ton of smurfs when I was a kid! Wow. I'm glad you won't look like one....:-)

glad to see you are home now. I've heard of "smurf syndrome" before. What a bummer though about no more sun. :0( I'm not huge on jewelry but drop me a line/link anyway. I'd love to see what you are making and who knows, I might find something for myself or a family member :0)

so glad you're home though I WAS wondering what was up with the snow ;0)

No smurfin' for you. I would think you had some serious oxygenation issues if you were going blue on me. Behave and stay out of the sun!

Ok so... can I just say... it's 12C and raining like non-stop in RIX... I have fuzzy warm slippers on my feet because they are freezing, and a sweatshirt on... I would trade you your heat for this hell any day of the week. ANY DAY.

OK...I just re-read that post and realized it wasn't actually about wanting that kind of weather, but being glad you're home...anyway... if you ever think you want that kind of weather, just know that someone else hates it as much as you might be hating the heat. :)
