Going Back to School!!!

So now that Eriks is in "school" 2 days a week for 5 hrs I decided it's time for me to wrap up my Undergrad Degree. I started college in the fall of 1993 and am currently 43 hrs short of graduation. I'm just getting a General Studies Degree just like my little sis although our areas of concentration are different. She'll graduate before me because I don't have the time to devote to taking 15 hrs a semester. I'll start with 6 and see what happens. Maybe next year when Eriks is in Pre-K full time I might have time to take a fuller course load. Most of the classes I need to take are electives - I've gotten most of my core classes done. Granted I also need 21 hrs of 300 level or above still. Now I'm just trying to decide what I'm going to take since there are so many awesome courses available online through Indiana University (where I started my college journey). I'm leaning towards Children's Literature (L390) and Modern American Women's History (A261). That way I'm not doing 2 300 level or better courses as I'm trying to ease back into school.

Wish me luck!!! I've been wanting this for so long and I need to get off my butt and do it!!!

Good Luck for sure. I need to go back to school but I just can't get up the energy to even think about exams and homework again.

If your going to do it, choose things that you can use. Children's Lit would be enlightening with little ones running around or if you want to work with kids in the future. Anyways, go get em.

I've often wanted to go back to school. Sadly I lack the motivation to actually do it. So kudos to you my friend for taking that first step.

Good for you! Enjoy.

I was afraid I would be a professional student for a while. Never again for me ;0)

Now I'm not lurking. LOL.

Good luck with your college experience. Mom's looking into going back to college...and now we have an (almost) 3 year old- Who adores her MOMMY! hehe.

Good luck again.
