Lane made it safely over to Europe. I haven't yet spoken to him but we have exchanged text messages and emails (what would I do with out them!) He's definitely having a good time along with the bit of work he's doing daily. Must be nice eh??? The 2nd to last text message I received from him was going to go have one more beer and then I'll text you again. Such is the life. As Sea Star would say, "Asshat." And I mean that in the most affectionate way but it really bites while Lane is living it up over there and I'm stuck here doing the same old crap-o-la on a daily basis. He owes me a vacation next spring big time. Especially if he has to go back at the end of October.
So I am definitely missing him. In our entire 11 yrs of marriage he has never gone overseas without me. That's because we were without kids and took a few extra days to do our own thing. Now with a kiddo that's impossible to do. I've always handled him going away for work ok because he's been here in the US where I've been able to talk to him on a daily basis but I haven't talked to him since I kissed him goodbye at the airport on Saturday morning. That's almost 4 days ago and he's not going to be back until next Monday - late Monday night at almost 10 pm. Yeah, I totally love my hubby and have a hard time living without him.
Luckily it's also season premier week so I'll have enough TV to occupy me and hopefully keep me from missing him too much!
