It's been a week since I've blogged. Well when you have nothing to blog about you can't help it. However I've got a few things now to "talk" about so here you all go!
- It's been raining almost non-stop since Friday. And guess what? In a few short hours the rain is supposed to turn into snow. The Wea.ther Channel is currently predicting 2-4 inches of the white stuff. It's not supposed to affect the roads. It better not. I have to pick up my mom at the airport at 4:15 today.
- Finally feeling better. The cardiologist changed the med that flushes excess fluid off my body and finally it started working yesterday. Or rather overnight I should say since I was getting up at least every 45 minutes to hit the potty. Don't care because since last night I dropped 6 lbs of fluid. Gross I know but it makes me feel so much better. Yeah medicine!
- Babies and kids. This gal is in China now, this gal just got back from China and this lady is leaving today to get her daughter in Estonia. Charlotte also has a private blog about her daughter in Estonia but of course, it's private and only open to invited readers.
- On Friday I went out to dinner with Pug Mama, Lisa and her daughter Briana and met another blogger whose blog I had read on occasion but not religiously like others. Noemi is very cool and I'm sure I've made a friend. At least I'm pretty sure I did. She did give me a present which she so did not have to do. Noemi also lives just minutes from one of my favorite places on earth - the House of Mouse. Hoping that when we're there at the end of the year we'll get together for dinner or something. Might even have to try and make it down to Florida sooner. She has a lovely family and her 3 boys are going to be total heartbreakers. I'm sure the oldest, Joey already is.
- Speaking of Pug Mama, I got to meet her man Big Daddy for the 1st time. If you read her blog (which I don't have in my blog roll because she's had issues with trolls) you will see pictures of Big Daddy and think that he's someone you'd rather not run into in a dark alley. He looks intimidating but he's as gentle as a lamb. I really enjoyed talking to him and could easily spend more time just shooting the breeze with him. I can totally see why Pug Mama picked him to be her mate for life.
- Lane leaves for Den.ver tomorrow for the whole week. Actually he'll only be gone about a total of 4 days because he flies out just before noon tomorrow and gets back mid afternoon on Friday. He's going for work...training, conference, not sure. Once he gets home LM has an airplane to turn over for them to do all their checks on. Might even have to deliver it to the Marines. I think it's headed to CA but don't know for certain.
- We decided to switch taekwondo studios. After a bunch of garbage I had finally had enough. I wasn't really happy there to begin with and had really hoped it would get better but it hasn't. Unfortunately the family that works/owns the studio just are not friendly at all and definitely don't make you feel welcome there. I don't expect you to be my BFF, but I do expect you to say hello to me, know my name and not hide in the back office every time we were there for class. Hiding in an office would not have been tolerated at our old studio. The studio that we will be going to is 15 minutes farther from our house but they are very similar to what we had in AR. And I found out that one of the instructors knows 2 of our old instructors REALLY well. She's actually friends with Ms. Davis, but also thinks Mr. O'Connor is a great instructor.
So that's it from my little corner of the world. It would be nice if my life was a little bit more exciting but it's not and yeah, I guess that means that I suck :-)

LOL. I must admit that I HAVE thought that after seeing photos of Big Daddy. But - ya know - never judge a book... we have a friend who is 6 foot 6 inches and built like a linebacker -- and he's as gentle as a lamb. (Although I'm sure he'd have issues with that description.)
I had a great time seeing you on Friday. We had a lot of laughs, didn't we? I loved when Eriks held Briana's hand. So cute!
I had a wonderful time as well! I was nice to finally meet you all in person!
I am sorry I had to leave so quick. We had a long drive home. We made it safe and sound.
Now I need a vacation from my vacation!
I am glad you are feeling better!
ohhhhh, Thanks.
My hubby is a sweetie, isn't he?!
So much to catch up on. Liene honey, I am so glad that you are feeling better now. I get scared when those things happen to you.
It sounds like meeting Pug Mama, Big Daddy and Noemi was a lot of fun. It's always somuch to meet blog buddies in person isn't it?
Hope Lane had a nice trip to Denver and he returned home safely. Sorry to hear that you had to switch taekwondo studios but that's great that the new one is so nice. You should not have to put up ith snotty people when you are giving them business! Hope you, Lane and Eriks are doing great and loving GA so far. :)
Hugs,
Jonni
