As all of my friends, family and close bloggy buddies know, we are moving sometime towards the end of the year. We are currently assuming that our house will have to go on the market in August and therefore are beginning to "stage" the house. That means cleaning out all the $hit that we've accumulated and saved for no good reason.
It's actually quite liberating to get rid of all this stuff. I try to be a minimalist but I'm married to a pack rat and sometimes it's easier to deal with it than put up a fight. Well, I finally said that if he's really going to need something again in the future we'll go buy it. However, he's been saving stuff since college and before we were married. We save a lot of boxes because it's easier to pack things in their original boxes than hope the movers pack things so they don't break. It's mostly appliances, electronics, etc.
Anyhow, almost all the stuff in the garage that's in the lovely photo above is going in a garage sale next weekend. We had planned on having it this past weekend but there's still stuff we're going through to get rid of so we put it off for a week. Anything that doesn't get sold is being donated to charity. I am not keeping it in my garage.
Other than painting, reorganizing, etc., there isn't much going on with us. Eriks and Lane are working on getting ready for the A-T-A Taekwondo World Championships that will take place in 2 weeks here in Little Rock. Eriks will receive trophies no matter what, but Lane would really like to do well since he has become passionate about his new found hobby/sport. We are praying for rain because our water bill is going to be out of control if we don't. The We@ther Ch@nnel is saying that there's a 60% chance tomorrow night. We'll see if that happens.
That's it for now. I'll be catching up on everyone's blogs over the course of the next few days. I've just been that busy!

I remember reading your past post about your neighbors boy coming over, and I tried to comment. My comment was going to be that I was more surprised about a 6 year old being allowed to walk to neighbors house alone - unsupervised. But my computer kept getting an error message. I thought it was funny that an anon assh*le could leave 2 comments, and here I couldn't leave my message!!!

Awesome! I hate clutter too. Except now I live with a child that is almost two and I have to live with it! :)
We did the exact same thing this weekend!
We have lots of "purging" to do too. My garage sale will probably be a week before we travel to China (I work best under pressure!!).
