The FURminator

So I made a trip to Petsmart this weekend to buy the dogs supplements to give to them so their pee doesn't yellow and kill the grass. It's worked wonderfully thus far and we had run out. While there we found a tool called the FURminator. We have seen the vets office running the demo video for this tool every time we're in the vets office which has been a lot lately thanks to traveling - we kennel the dogs there. We were skeptical and rather than shell out the money for what the vet charges for this tool we found that Petsmart carries it. We still were a little daunted by the price $34.99 for the small and $59.99 for the large one. We went ahead and bought the small one and said if it doesn't work like a lot of the gimmick things on TV then we will bring it back.

Suffice it to say, this thing is NOT going back! Oh My God!!! Lane and I still look at it and can't figure out exactly how it works. We haven't really used it on the dogs but George the cat got about a 10 minute brushing before he finally got annoyed and had had enough. But I could've brushed him for FOREVER! Hopefully this will help solve some of his hairball problems.

So here's a pictorial of what happened.

and you get one gigantic hairball...

Yup...your eyes are working correctly. That hairball is the size of my hand. And I don't have small hands. Not that they're particularly large either but that hairball was a good 3 to 4 inches in length and pretty wide around. The hairball was the size of a 1 week or 2 week old kitten!!!

We will eventually invest in the large one so that it doesn't take as long to brush the dogs. It is awesome. So there's my product plug for the day!

A friend of mine was just telling me about this tool today! I think I am going to have to look for one. I am so tired of sweeping up dog hair!

Happy 7!

What a great product! I need to look into buying the FURminator for our dog. With a name like FURminator, how could it not be COOL? (lol)

Jonni

Do you think it would work as well with Laila and Taylor's shorter hair? I'll have to check it out.
