Chaos

So we got home from Indy on Sunday night. Since then, life has been kind of nuts. We decided that the front bedroom will become Emilija's room and the smaller room will be the guest room. All of my scrapbooking & stamping equipment was in the front room and so we've got to switch the closets and all the other stuff that goes with it. Not that I think we'll be adding furniture to Emilija's room anytime soon but I'd like to get all the crap that's been collecting out of my house. I do however need a new solid bookcase for all the books that we have. The one we have now is about 7 yrs old, has been through 2 moves and is now leaning badly. We're actually afraid that it's going to collapse soon. Dh and I are avid readers and although I get rid of most of my books after they've been read, there are some books that I read in college and recently that I just can't part with. Also the bookshelves include our high school yearbooks and collections of "For Better or For Worse" & "Baby Blues" comic books. My mom keeps telling me to get rid of all those books but I can't. I hope the house that I settle in will have built in bookshelves so that I don't have to worry about it.

I'm not a pack-rat nor a hoarder but there are things that I tend to hang onto that I really don't need. Not sure why. Maybe it's just wishful thinking. So when the Thrift Shop on base opens again in August I will be consigning lots of goodies that are no longer going to take up space in my house. I also have a TON of stuff to put on eBay. I need to get my a$$ in gear and downsize my scrapbooks too. When I started scrapbooking, I scrapbooked everything. Now I have about 20 albums and I'd like to cut that in half. Basically re-scrapbook everything. Take out the stuff that's not really important. I also need to take all my negatives over to a photo place and have them put on disk so that I can just chuck the 1000's of negatives I didn't want to part with because they couldn't be put on CD when I took them (photos on CD did not exist).

So that's my life in a nutshell right now. I will eventually post about my trip to Indy with photos. Just have other things that need to get done right now. Give me a few days.
