Three Word Sunday - Edition ??? (I lost count)

(Dad don't get too mad at me because I am so relieved)

This would've been my 3 Word Sunday post last week had I not forgotten. My dad didn't really want a whole lot of people knowing that he was diagnosed with throat cancer this past November. So when I really needed to vent about it, I couldn't vent to my bloggy buds. Lane had to be my rock during this time.

Some of you might remember that in December I said I didn't have the Christmas Spirit at all because there really didn't seem much to celebrate. Well this is the reason why. I was worried about my dad and everything he was going through. He went through 5 days of radiation a week for 3 months and chemo once a week for 6 weeks. Well they did a laproscopy a week ago to see if there was still any remnants of a tumor and there wasn't. The cancer is gone! My dad still has to be checked every 2 months for the 1st year and then every 6 months thereafter.

I'm so happy that it's over for now. I am still so proud my dad never got discouraged. I'm still in shock that he worked all the way through his treatments. The doctors said it wouldn't happen. And I'm so proud that my mom was there with him in Kansas taking care of him and making sure he was taking care of himself. She was definitely the rock he needed. That's what almost 36 yrs of marriage will get you.

Love you dad and I miss you.
