Well I just finished up submitting request forms to view 7 of the 20 children on our agency's WC list. The most we've ever requested to view is 3 so this is a big step. I'm trying not to hold my breath over it but it's so hard not to get excited and hopeful. It's just the way we human beings work. You have to look at the glass half-full rather than half-empty. I can't release any info for confidential reasons about these beautiful children but I will say all 7 of the files we are hoping to view are of little girls - of course. But to be honest, there was 1 little boy on the March WC list that I would've adopted in a heartbeat but he was only about 2 months older than Eriks and right now one 3 1/2 yr old is enough to handle!
Now we just have to wait and try to keep busy until Tuesday afternoon if we get the call. We'll know either way on Tuesday whether or not we were selected when we view the website because each child that had a request form submitted will have the words BEING REVIEWED underneath their photo.
I'm still channeling all of your positive thoughts and prayers that our time to be parents again has finally come. Since we started this process to adopt our 2nd child I have always felt called to adopt a child that has a SN. I know, I've said it before.
I probably won't post the rest of the weekend. We've got a Waiting Families meeting tomorrow afternoon with our local FCC chapter. They're going to show us all the cool things to buy while we're in China. And then on Sunday I'm going to play Longaberger Bunko. A chance to win free Longaberger. Yippie!! I don't think it's possible to ever have enough Longaberger.
