Well as we continue to wait for our daughter, Spring has sprung. The weather today is near 80 degrees and will stay that way for at least the next 10 days. We're looking forward to getting play equipment for the kids in the backyard. I know Eriks will get good use out of it.
Just and update on the CHI waiting children website. All but 2 of the children have been placed. I'm in shock that so many children were placed so quickly. The list was only made for viewing less than 3 weeks ago. I just hope that CHI can find homes for the 2 little boys on the list quickly so that they can request a new list of waiting children.
So that's where we are right now. I feel so useless because so many families are getting rooms together for their children and I don't know what to do yet since we don't know how old our daughter will be. If she's too big for a crib, then that changes everything. So we can't paint anything until we know what's going on. And I so want to start shopping!! I'm trying to find more things to keep myself busy so that I don't have to think about how much time still has to pass if we have to wait the full 16 or 17 months for a referral. I'm sure I've said that before.
