- I am an Indiana grown Latvian born with complex Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) currently living among the cornfields in suburban Indy. Life has given me the opportunity to be a wife and mother to 2 amazing kids. This blog is a story of my life as a CHD patient, mom to my adopted kids and wife to a retired military officer who is currently spending his days as a law school student.
