Six Words, etc...

There's still not much interesting going on in our lives right now. No SN referral, no assignment orders, nada!

Anyhow last week I was tagged by this Southern gal to explain my life in 6 Words. I put it off because I honestly couldn't come up with squat. I haven't been in the best of moods with only about 8 weeks left to get school stuff done (I know, it's my own fault - sort of. Health has played a big factor.), no clue where I'm going to be forced to move at the end of the year and waiting for our agency to call us with a SN referral.

So this morning it just came to me. Why I didn't think of it sooner I don't know. I'm blaming it on getting older. So here are my 6 Words.

NEVER IN ONE PLACE FOR LONG

That might not sum up my entire life but it sure as heck sums up the last 12 yrs. Like I've said before, I'm over this whole moving thing. When I was younger and before kid(s) it didn't bother me so much but now it's harder. Plus I hate being away from family. I grew up being extremely close to my extended family and many of them still harass me about moving back. A few of them have kids Eriks age and they love being together. That with the fact that Lane's brother and spouse and kids moved to Indy makes me so envious that they're there and we're not. I just have to keep reminding myself this isn't for forever. Just a few more years.

So, I know a few of you have wondered where the heck are the photos from the ATA Tournament this past weekend. Well I finally got around to it. Eriks is in a group called Tiny Tigers. For competing they get 1st place trophies for both forms and weapons. He can't wait to compete again.

Lane did pretty good for his 1st time too. He placed 4th or 5th in forms (no trophy) and 2nd in weapons (this he did get a very nice trophy for). There were probably about 10 people competing in his age & belt group. He would've gotten 1st in weapons but he had a slight bobble and well, that cost him. Although it was only a 10th of a point. His scores were 9.7, 9.7, 9.7 and the guy who won had scores of 9.8, 9.7, 9.7.

So below are some pictures of the tournament. We had a very good time and probably had more fun watching and cheering on our instructors and other people from our school.

And finally we were having some fun with Eriks hair last night in the tub. It's actually a "do" he could pull of. It's very cute and he had a blast seeing us do that to his hair.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable 4th of July weekend. And happy belated Canada Day to my Canadian bloggy buddies.

That last pic of Eriks is so cute! Way to go Lane and Eriks in the competition!

Great six words. I moved about 4 years ago - just a half hour away from where I was and that was difficult. Wishing you all the best with your next move!
