Happy 4th of July!!!

Since I am going to be on the road most of the day tomorrow I would like to wish my fellow blogging buddies as well as friends & family who read my blog a very Happy Independence Day!!!!

It's still hard to imagine that nearly 60 years ago my parents & grandparents fled Communism to become citizens of this great country. If they hadn't, they might not be alive and well, I wouldn't be here either.

I also want to take the time to thank my wonderful husband, Lane as well as all the spouses of my friends whose husbands serve in our Armed Forces. And a special thanks to all those who are spending their 4th of July in Iraq. I know I can complain about life in the military - it is not for the faint of heart. But I have always stood proud to be a supportive military wife to Lane. Although he often doesn't think himself a worthy Officer and AF pilot I am so proud of all that he has done in his life and all that he will go on to do in 4 years when we will have to live a civilian life. I know it is going to be so weird not having to move every 3 years and finally stay in one place.

Everyone have a safe and happy 4th!!!!!

I hope that you guys had an awesome 4th. It really makes you think about how good we have it when I think about what you wrote in regards to your grandparents fleeing communism.

Hugs,
